"Dear Hans,
Thank you for your interest in the clicker videos by Shirley Chong. The
competition video concentrates on the skills needed in obedience trials in
the US, although I believe that those skills are generally required for most
work throughout the world. The instruction includes building self-control in
the dog ("Doggy Zen"
, heeling, retrieving, scent discrimination, teaching
changes of pace, proofing for ring nerves on the part of the handler, drop on
recall. None of the jumping exercises are included (the tape was getting too
long.).
Clicking for the Well-Mannered Dog concentrates on skills needed in the
average home and includes introducing the clicker, Doggy Zen, loose lead
walking, go to your mat and dealing with a fearful dog that is dog
aggressive. It can serve as an introduction to clicker training while the
competition video assumes more knowledge on the part of the trainer.
Actual dogs in training are used, which gives a very realistic view of how
dogs and handlers learn.
We do not, yet, have a Web site and the ability to take a credit card over
the internet. We will have in the future but that is several months away.
You could mail your credit card number, expiration date and signature, or
send an American Express money order or any other international money order.
The mailing address was in the ad in the Clicker Journal.
I hope this answers your questions. Please e-mail me again if you have other
questions. Although I am obviously biased, I think these are the best
clicker videos to date.
Sincerely
Laurie Telfair"
Liebe Grüße,
Hans:
