: Das stimmt nicht. Gestagene werden nach dem Eisprung im Östruszyklus gebildet. Also während der Hitze der Hündin.
Das stimmt schon. Gestagene (oder Progestine genannt) werden nach der luteinisierung des Follikels nach dem Eisprung zunächst in den Gelbkörpern des Eierstockes, dann später auch von der Plazenta gebildet. Erfolgt keine Befruchtung, bilden sich die Gelbkörper zurück, und die Gestagenproduktion hört auf. Bleiben diese aber bestehen (corpus luteum persistens) kommt es zur anhaltenden Gestagenbildung mit der Folge einer Scheinträchtigkeit.
Der Zusammenhang (von Gestagen)mit der Mammatumorentstehung des Hundes ist seit etwa 20 Jahren gut bekannt und genau beschrieben.
Es ist allerdings noch ein wenig komplizierter; das Wachstumshormon STH und das Prolactin spielen auch noch einen wichtige Rolle.
